Blog #2: Chapter 6 - Building Your Connected Learning Community

        Personal learning networks result in deeper learning. This is because it helps you form deeper connections and deeper relationships. From these relationships, a community of connected learners and leaders grows. I believe that it is extremely important for one to make connections with people around them because these connections will help them succeed and gain knowledge. In my future career as a physician assistant, I will have to connect with people around me such as patients and other medical faculties in order to be successful in my profession.

                                            
        

         Healthy community is a community in which members engage in activity and discussions, help one another, share knowledge, and last but not the least, gain knowledge.  This type of community is a united community. In healthy communities, participants learn how to grasp members' collective knowledge. There are many evolving features of a healthy community. Members part of this community has various roles and responsibilities. These roles and responsibilities will help them grow.  

                                    

         A personal learning networks becomes a source of collective intelligence. This is due to the connections and relationships made with others. The author belives that these type of networks takes time and perseverance but is worth the effort. This will strengthen your professional learning community as well as your learning. It is important to nurture your personal learning network because this expands the possibilities for learning. Networks, overall, are great for self-directed learning. These networks help you grow as a person.
         In my future profession as a physician assistant, the personal learning networks will help me make connections with people in my field. These connections will be very beneficial because I will learn and gain knowledge from these connections. This is one of the most important methods I learned in this chapter. This method can definitely apply to my future profession. Even though personal learning networks takes time, it will be worth it in the long run.
